What’s happening …
Will the Draft be reimplemented?
Beginning in December 2026, eligible men (not women) between 18 and 26 will automatically be registered with the Selective Service System, using existing data bases such as Social Security records. This will not constitute a draft. Rather it is an administrative step that will make administering a draft easier, if Congress chooses to move in that direction.
Hartford Monthly Meeting will not be offering draft counseling, if the draft is reimplemented. However, we urge anyone moved to seek conscientious objector status to obtain the best professional advice available. To do so, you may contact the Center on Conscience and War at: https://centeronconscience.org
First Day School classes and childcare for children ages 0-18 is available.
Adult Programs on Sundays: All programs follow Worship, starting at 11:30.
Our members and attenders are involved in a variety of social action causes.
